Leopard sharks are at home in shallow waters rarely reaching depths greater that 65 feet. They often will follow the high tide in to hunt for prey and move back to deeper waters as the tide recedes.

Diet:
Leopard sharks prey on clams and fish. They are known to shovel their nose into the sand to catch buried prey.
Habitat:
Shallow waters of bays, estuaries and kelp forests along the west coast from Oregon to Mexico.
